Painting. Passionfruit Flower Series
Some years ago a passionfruit vine growing over my studio found its way inside and I began to make daily drawings of it. Like a medieval Book of Hours my drawings correlated to different times of the day and year.
Paintings developed from these drawings and I used circular mandala type compositions to reflect natures life cycles. Borrowing from Celtic traditions I use spiral patterning and geometric step patterning to develop themes around the Unity of Opposites.
